Und man wird nicht entt\u00e4uscht.<br \/>\nDer erfrischend unklassische Ton des Jazz<br \/>\nCover \u201cLawn of Love\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mario Rom (Trompete), Werner Zangerle (Tenorsaxofon), Philipp Jagschitz (Piano), Walter Singer (Kontrabass) und Niki Dolp (Schlagzeug) finden sich \u2013 wie schon auf ihrem 2012er-Deb\u00fct \u201eSouvenir\u201c \u2013 auf einem erfrischend anderen Jazzweg wieder<\/p>\n<p>Fern jeder \u00fcberbordenden Komplexit\u00e4t und Sperrigkeit r\u00fccken die f\u00fcnf Instrumentalisten vor allem das Musikalische in den Vordergrund des Geschehens<br \/>\n. Die Nummern von Memplex sprechen eine gediegene und stilistisch offene Sprache des Jazz. Sie folgen einer f\u00fcr Jazzverh\u00e4ltnisse vermeintlich einfacheren und geradlinigeren Linie und sind von einem warm umschmeichelnden Klang, der sich aus einer Vielzahl wunderbar g\u00e4nsehauterzeugender Melodieb\u00f6gen, eleganter Harmonien und grandioser Improvisationen speist und sich \u00fcber weite, spannungsgeladene B\u00f6gen zu einer ungemein stimmungsvollen Angelegenheit entwickelt.<br \/>\nJazz, der in den Ohren h\u00e4ngen bleibt<\/p>\n<p>Memplex lassen auf ihrem neuen Album das musikalische Pendel auf vielf\u00e4ltige Weise weit ausschlagen. An ruhigen und sanft ber\u00fchrenden Momenten fehlt es ebenso wenig wie an richtig sch\u00f6n intensiv und l\u00e4ssig noch vorne groovenden. Auch dem Experimentelleren, dem sehr Verspielten und manchmal auch zirkushaft Schr\u00e4gen verschlie\u00dft sich die Band nicht, was die ganze Sache klarerweise zu einer noch abwechslungsreicheren werden l\u00e4sst. Das Sch\u00f6ne am Sound dieser Truppe ist, dass die einzelnen Elemente in wirklich perfekter Weise ineinanderflie\u00dfen, dass sie in Summe ein sehr vielschichtiges Ganzes ergeben, das in hohem Ma\u00dfe etwas sehr Bildhaftes entwickelt und in den Geh\u00f6rg\u00e4ngen h\u00e4ngen bleibt.<\/p>\n<p>Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass Memplex mit \u201eLawn of Love\u201c ein Album gelungen ist, das wirklich alle St\u00fcckerl spielt und den Jazz in einem Klang darbietet, der nicht nur bei ausgewiesenen Liebhaberinnen und Liebhabern dieser Musikform Anklang finden d\u00fcrfte.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Michael Ternai, musicaustria 5.
