In the poetry collection Iba die gaunz oamen Leit, the author Christine Nöstlinger, known as a children’s book author far beyond the borders of the German-speaking world, showed a completely different side to her literary work: poetry written in Viennese dialect, heartfelt, stirring social studies from the perspective of children, men and women, as relevant today as when they were first published in the 1970s and 1980s.
In Du bleda Bua, the 13-member improv collective Little Rosie’s Kindergarten and the actress and speaker Sarah Jung interpret their selection of texts from the trilogy. In multi-layered sound textures – from orchestral, drawing on the full, to chamber music ensembles, very delicate, intimate tones, rhythmic-linguistic interweaving and soloistic outbursts, text and music in Du bleda Bua organically combine to form a great whole that carries and develops the emotional message of the deeply moving texts.
